Inspection and Testing Division
Rhino Lifting Maintenance operates a fully equipped and staffed division which ensures the inspection, testing, repair and service of all types of industrial lifting equipment. The fully equipped workshop operates under a unique Quality Management System that ensures the highest quality standards.
We also comply with the accepted SANS specifications (previously known as South African Bureau of Standards specification) in supplying products and rendering their services to their clients according to appropriate technical standards.
Certifications
Rhino Lifting Maintenance operates according to the strict procedures of the Lifting Machine and Lifting Tackle Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Act 85 of 1993, DMR 18 sub regulation 1 - 11. This includes examining and testing of lifting machines and lifting tackles. The scope of approval includes Overhead Cranes, Lifting tackle, Lifting Machines and all types of winches.
Rhino Lifting Maintenance employs three certified Lifting Machinery Inspectors who are registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa in terms of the Engineering Profession Act, 2000 (Act No. 46 of 2000). They are qualified to maintain, inspect, load test and certify lifting equipment as required in the Act.
